Total greenhouse gas emissions (environmental accounts basis) were 68,537 kt CO2 equivalent in 2007. This CSO series runs on a residence-accounting basis and is not directly comparable to the official National Inventory Report figures used to track Ireland's climate targets — check the EPA's national GHG inventory for policy-grade numbers. A newer/longer series is needed to bring this up past 2007; to be refreshed from CSO's latest environmental accounts release.
